ADD LOW-RES BROWSE AND LOGGING TO THE NESBIT MEDIA LIBRARY SYSTEM
January 15, 2011
We are extending the capabilities of the Media Library System to include low-res browse and logging at the desktop. This new functionality will provide management of both physical and digital media and integration with production systems. Low-res browsing at the desktop and detailed logging features using MLS will allow MLS to act as a central hub and single portal for your analog and digital asset management. This will provide a sharing of metadata with third party transcode and ingest systems in your organization with a second component of our suite of products, The Listener. This is a low cost, low effort solution to managing your digital assets.

The new MLS video player will provide digital asset management capabilities without the high cost of MAM systems. It integrates DAM functionality within the context of MLS, leveraging the powerful metadata and management capabilities of MLS to support your organizations workflow.

Features include:

  • Low-res browse and logging within MLS, on your desktop.
  • Integrates with your existing metadata in MLS; greatly reducing data entry tasks, enhancing the asset database and providing immediate metadata for the digital asset.
  • Compatible with your existing environment and requires minimal IT services.
  • Provides many usage and tracking reports.
  • Supports your workflow.
  • Access proxy files on your LAN no matter where they reside.

Windows Media will play many kinds of file formats. The codec that is utilized is an important consideration. We can discuss what file formats you require and how our browse feature can support them.
